The Frozen Lake is a delightful map made by 237thSCComBly. It displays a vast improvement over his previous maps. He makes fairly good use of textures and blends them in to create a nice natural and aesthetic pleasing map. The nature and fog settings are set appropriately however snow might of made a better choice instead of rain. The only things the author could improve on with his mapping technique is making the playable terrain a bit more dynamic, utilizing more textures and blending in the ice with the surrounding textures. Overall the layout is set up well and offers some equal game-play while maintaining a natural feel. The indigenous villages offer a nice twist to the game-play of this map.

This is definitely a worthy download and will make for a fun and relaxing skirmish game. Updated 14:05, 20 Apr 2016 8 1 685kb. Dantooine is yet another map released by Bly. This map was supposed to be for Republic at War but now is being released to the public by Bly.

The map features some excellent wide open terrain on rolling hills which allows for some unique large scale battles. The placement of trees at uneven intervals allows for a nice natural look.

The textures also make a nice seamless transition into desert from the grass areas allowing for a pleasurable view while playing. The only things I would do would be to make this map sunny and to blend the colours of the dirt textures more into the grass. Another good map from Bly that should definitely be downloaded. Note though that this is a GC map with the current marker set-up.

This map is the first of its kind that has been released. It includes water and island models, a new skydome and some XML's. Also the files can be used for your own projects if you credit Enceladus, Codeuser(see Read-me for specifics) and contact Enceladus by email. Any future projects by Enceladus will always be available in the EAW and more members only section so check it out. If you open the map in the editor or the game and the water is green make sure the shader is in the data/art/shaders folder. The map editor has this weird bug where it deletes newly added shaders.

You may have to extract your shaders or take them from the source files and throw them in you Shader file(plus throw in the shader) this helps. Post if problems persis, if using mods throw the shader in the mods shader folder.

Uras Map is a space map created by reti35. Overall this map is on the bland side.

It completely lacks a skydome and has no feeling of being a battle set in space. The Rebellion has two Space Stations while the Empire has only one Space Station. Both faction s have various ships to start off with however the Empire out weighs the Rebels in this regard. There is also a lot of turret and mine spam meaning that this map lacks the need for tactics. If you want to see a lot of lasers flying then this is a map you consider for download. The props and their placement is done so well I'm sold that this is some city on Naboo. Each team starts out away from the city on either side of it and has different options for attack. The most direct route is through the heart of the city, but it is narrow and is ripe for an ambush. There is another option that takes you on the north edge of the city, but it can have similar results. The best way for a full frontal attack is to take the northernmost route. Outside the city areas there are large expanses that make for good battle sites.

From the looks of things, it appears to be a factory to build Interceptor IV frigates. However it's the little details that make this map stand out. There are frigates under construction, being fueled, ready to be boarded, and other surprises for those who are looking. Seeing as this is on Mandal (or more likely a space-dock orbiting Mandal) there are Mandalorians guarding/working the factory. The.cough. Zann Consortium.cough., seems to start out with quite the advantage by having no initial Mandalorian opposition while the Rebels and Imperials can't get far without a fight and start just a stones throw from each other. Besides that, the only thing this map is really missing is a space skydome (Unless this is supposed to be on the planet, then all the black areas should look like factory to creat a better illusion).

Keep up the good work. Sandman's Galactic Conquest Mod (v0.5) - I've made up a GC for both singleplayer and multiplayer, as well as adding a few units (new and old) to the game. This was born out of there not being a GC I wanted to play, so I made my own. The GC is called 'In The Beginning', both the Imps and Rebels start was 3 planets, the lowest tech you can give them and 4,000cr. Rebels: I wanted to make the rebels look more ragtag, so they start with a couple of Venators (stolen after the clone wars), some v-Wing and Z-95 squadrons and a few Corvettes.

They have Naboo (not Hoth as its too easy to get Bespin from there), Yavin and Bonadan. Imps: The Imps also start with a couple of Venators, Acclamators, and Tartans, and have Coruscant, Byss and Fresia. Pirates: The are a LOT more pirates around, they now own 23 of the 43 planets, so a lot of the early game is about conquering pirate planets, watch out as they have a few surprises on certain planets. Which may bias my opinion sometimes, because it's hard to make a large map that I don't like. That being said, I enjoyed this map very much (duh). Besides the size, there are other aspects that make this map worth playing. Such as, multiple paths to war, a well defended Empire base, pirates, and mountain paths. The downside, texturing and terrain.

There is a rebel base in a small supply depot (I am really proud of the little spaceport in the middle of it), and the empire is getting ready to attack it. There are mining facilities to the east and west (the eastern one has a little suprise), along with several resource pads and a naboo-ized canina The imperial base has a shield generator, the rebel base doesnt. The rebels must use a number of other things (an extra turbolaser, a small net of sensors, good ground) to help balance this out. The center of the map is always contested, but does not have much resources.

Anyway, dividing this map right down the center is a large impassable canyon. There is a narrow bridge across this canyon, in which there are two turbolaser turrets on each side of this bridge. Whoever controls the bridge basicly controls what goes where and how. Lots of hostiles, great bases. And I finally learned how to variate texture! Hint for Rebels: Use R2-D2 to slice the turbolasers on the opposite side of the bridge for ultimate control. A unique mod by Sandy Warnstaff, here's what he had to say about it: Basicly, I took the tactical health of all the non-fighter ships (frigates, cap ships) and the sheild strength (minus half), and used them for the auto-resolve health (also effects starbases).

This means major nerfs to pirates in auto (the numbers added up as less then default). Fighters have had their total hitpoints plus full sheild strength (where applicable) used.

This means that the A-Wing has a combined sheild & hull strength of 90, and with 5 finghters in a squadron, total autoresolve strength = 450. Weapons do not effect these values, though I will experiment with it in the future, probably after I've done the ground units. Oh, almost forgot, I have not changed ground units auto-resolve yet.

The Empire set up shop and started to construct a pair of modified Star Destroyers to be sent inside the black hole to gather data.

The Star Destroyers will be manned by 400 T-10 SBD droids per ship. About halfway into the construction a Rebel recon patrol discovered the build site and reported back to base requesting that a large task force be sent in. Your job is to either destroy the build site as the Rebels, or defend it as the Empire. The author tells us that this is his first submitted map. This is one of the better first maps I've seen.

It's playable, it's got a lot of 'stuff', and I didn't find any major glitches. A couple of things I would recommend for this map and any future maps: You should not put things inside buildings (the building in the center). If you do, don't put a roof on the building.

I realize this is on some sort of metal base, but it's pretty boring. I would add some levels with ramps to give it a more dynamic feel. The pirate bases in the corners are too well defended to make them worth attacking.

Also, they are out of the way and you could play the entire level without engaging any of them. Finally, there's no skydome, or it's a black skydome which is pretty boring. If it's space make it a space skydome, or if it's a night, take a skydome and change it to night. I'm looking forward to future maps from Matt2503. This is my first submited map so i would appreciate any feedback of glitches or suggestions for improvement.

It is a map on a pirate outpost with the Imperials in one corner and the Rebel Alliance in the other. Between them is a structure that provides most of the income. In the other corners are two pirate bases. One is assisted by humans and defence is built around a large number of shield generators and stolen craft. The other base is simpler, but cralling with a large number of pirate soldiers and vehicles. I'm not sure what an 'Eiswueste' is.

But this is a nice map for a first submission. It's very linear, but a couple of obstacles (natives, wampas) between points help to mix it up a bit.

The giant building/facility in the northwestern corner is a nice touch, and out of the way as not to detract from the map. Unfortunately, the prisons are neutral and take some tack and trickery to destroy, which in the end proves not to be worth it.

Check this out and give the author some feedback so we can get some more good maps out there. Bubbleteatroopa has created a new map for all of us to enjoy: Nebula Stand-Off. Hey, I have not made a map in a while, since before filefront went down, mostly because I had no ides for a map, and zombie panic source seemed to fun. Anyways, This map is called Nebula Stand off, because It is basicaly a large scale battle between 2 space station's (yes, that means more than 3 on each side) against one another. However between the two space stations, there is a huge nebula field. I have liberaly given you resource pads (10 I think) and a good number of buildable turret spots, although, I higly doubt you will need any money considering that you start off with all the cruisers you need, and they are constantly being produced during the battle, for free. Yes, I know this map is only for two players, and that is because when giving units to start out with, you cannot divide them evenly amongst all the players, and therefore only player 1 (the person that joined the game first for both teams) will be able to control the fleet, and you will not.

It is ultimate chaos sometimes, and I do warn you, it MAY lag sometimes due to the amount of units and shots being fired. It is a pretty small file though, and would be alot of fun with a friend (or foe) online, or even by yourself if you want. It is a very hard map to beat, because you have to keep attacking the other team with units constantly while they get renforcments constantly. I highly doubt this will work well with full enemy elimination, but you could try it. Sorry for the lack of good screenshots, but I must say, it is one of my better maps I have made.

I made my own name files long ago full of ships from the X-Wing series (some of those are in this mod). This mod is also a great starting point for someone who wants to customize their fleet names, since anyone can edit a.txt file. Alot of fun can be had when you add humorous names. Both the Imperials and Rebels start off with four Space Stations that can be upgraded on either side of the map.

There is also a liberal amount of mines on each side of the map that allow for resources to be gathered quickly to build up your fleet. Seperating the two sides are a line of Pirate bases adding an interesting twist to the map. Below the map are several black holes and a lone silouetted planet. The blue skydome fits in nicely with these black holes.

The center of the map features a giant sphere of space lightning; which is harmless. This particle does provide an interesting look however it does cause lag and it could be a problem for some players. This map also features a line of asteroids and an 'X' formation of nebulae. This map is great for 4 vs. 4 skirmish games and it offers an exciting twist if you're tired of bland space battles. Give this map a download if it interests you.

Death Star approaches Alderaan and; 4. Death Star destroys Alderaan. The four Venator Class Destroyers symbolizes the ones in Episode III where the Emperor, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin and other Imperial Officers and where you can see the Death Star's construction, and four V-Wing Fighters flying.

And the Death Star and Alderaan in Episode IV. It uses the music, 'I Just Can't Get Enough' because I can't get enough of playing and modding/tweaking the game.

The game certainly looks great and sometimes challenging especially the Galactic Conquest Mode. Well, for any gamer, I don't know if the BGM fits into the battle video but for me, it is. The author apparently forgot to include some reinforcement points on the original version, so this version of the map might be a little bit more entertaining. Ground maps are always marred by gameplay factors, since many people feel that this is EaW's weak point, but you can still have some nice maps. The author has tried his best in order to make a map that makes you think about the way that you use your units and attack the enemy, so hopefully this will overcome any flaws in the default gameplay. (JUST SO WE ARE CLEAR, I FORGOT TO UPLOAD THE MAP WITH REINFORCEMENT POINTS. THIS ONE NOW HAS SPAWN MARKERS AND LANDING ZONES. Now: this map is set in Abregado-Rae, and is part of the giant port city mentioned in the planet's description.

It is somewhat empty in some areas to allow movement of bigger vehicles which may just be a hindrence since they cant go very far. There are four Turbolaser towers at the only bridge, which is a main chokepoint.

Whoever controls these basically controls who crosses over the bridge. Since the Rebels are closer to the bridge, they only have two turbolaser towers and some build pads.

The Empire, who's base is farther away, has much heavier defenses to compensate. There is a chunk of the map missing but it isn't noticeable since nothing important is over there and shouldn't bother anybody. (If the water shows up default blue, i DID put a skydome in, but when I test play it, it doesn't show. If that is the case for you, I'm not sure what is wrong) This is also my first upload to Filefront.

I know you can script a campaign through xml files, I just have yet to see it done. There are couple of maps in this pack that look like that are made for that purpose. The other land maps are unremarkable, although there is a bonus map where you get a group of Rancors to kill Twil'eks with. The space maps are the best of the set, with a couple of different styles available.

This map is set in the Abregado-Rae Port city mentioned in the planet description. This map is on the bigger side of maps and only has one bridge to cross to the other side. There are four abandoned Turbolaser towers on the sides of the chokepoint and whoever controls them basically controls the bridge until the towers are destryoed. The Rebellion base has more build pads than than the Empire base, which has more tubolasers. This is because the Rebels are closer to the towers on the bridge and don't need as many as the Empire. The terrain should be easy to travel for most infantry but large vehicles like the AT-AT may not be able to move through certain parts of the city.

There is also an abandoned Sensor Array close to the rebels but it is gaurded by a motley crew of indigenous citizens and needs a couple of infantry squadrons to capture. Most of the Base Structures are connected to buildings. If you have trouble seleting them, let me know and I will modify it in the next release. (the giant structure near the rebels is eye candy only, nothing speacial about it). Empire Vs Rebels is a map by wargtv that pits two players against each other in a winding valley. Multiple shield generators have been placed in each base to have an overlapping shield effect that protects your base from multiple sources of fire. The map uses the arctic texture set, but also includes several different metal textures on the bottom of the valley.

Outside of the valley, the map is flat and contains the generic texture applied to most of the terrain. Props such as power boxes and pipes line the path to the other base. The creator has indicated that this map was intended to be played with Rebel and Imperial factions, not the Zann Consortium, so he is likely not giving out support for people who use that faction. This is a single XML file that changes the Alderaan GC to an Inner Rim scenario.

The scenario is relatively small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Small GCs mean less lag and easier focus on your planets. This GC scenario is objective based with the Rebels attempting to save a pirate leader and the Empire trying to take out a Rebel hero.

I'm still working towards making an army of pirates on the ground. I went a little overboard with the removal of backgrounds, so some areas are hard to see and read.

This map is visually appealing because this is Petroglyph's Galactic Conquest map. However, this map contains the same flaws that Bly's Aeten II GC map conversion has. No player starting markers, no structure build pads, and awkward base placement make this map a disappointment in multiple ways. Functionality for this map is flawed, but still there. The premise behind this map is that the Empire is attempting to destroy the celebration of Christmas, and that the Rebels are defending it. (Ignoring the fact that you can switch teams and positions) Visually, this map isn't mind-blowing, but it's decent in usage of the height tool, textures on the hills, and most of the prop placement. Wargtv could've used some more textures in the valley area, because the texturing there seems very repetitive from afar. Rancors and wampas were placed in certain locations in order to make early game expansion more difficult for each team.

There are some annoyances, like the back of a mountain being invisible or the lack of a unique texture under the trees, but these have no gameplay ramifications. This map offers enjoyable gameplay in a medicore environment, but it would still be a good download for hardcore FoC players. Updated 14:06, 20 Apr 2016 3 0 312kb.
