After high school I decided to move to the nearby city of Kelowna, British Columbia, to study Audio Engineering at The Centre for Arts and Technology. At the time I never imagined I’d pursue a career in audio engineering. Being from a small town in Canada, working in the music industry just didn’t seem like a realistic possibility. To test packages, we used to fill input tables or files with test data, execute the package or task in Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), write a SQL query and compare the output produced by the package with what we thought was the correct output.
Guide Price: £1450 GBP. Availability: This Mu-tron Bi-Phase is available for sale now. Click on the thumbnail for higher resolution photo of the actual Bi-Phase for sale. We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer Came into stock:31st January 2017. Remarks: Not a vintage effects but an absolute classic pro-audio device by any standards. The Mutronics Mutator is a great sounding pure analog signal processor that adds beautiful creamy filtering through its 24dB-per-octave analogue filters, with envelope follower capabilities, to any audio signal plus some useful on-board modulations options. Sound on Sound magazine (Paul Nagle) wrote a very good review for this back in the late 90’s, you can read that by clicking the following link: As you can see from the customer supplied picture, the unit is in excellent original condition with only some light wear to the control-surface and casings.
Importantly, the Mutator is 100% fully operational. This Mutator has MIDI of course, and operates on EU 220V. Supplied with owners manual (PDF). Guide Price: £1800 GBP. Availability: This Mutator is now SOLD as at 7th June 2017.

Remarks: An extremely rare vintage EMS ancillary studio module – the Pitch-to-Voltage Converter. What is it, and what does it do? The principle function of the PVC is to convert an audio input into a DC voltage whose value is proportional to the pitch of that input signal. There is a very informative page on the ‘Old Tech – Vintage Synthesizer’ website that covers the PVC in some depth, so please click the link below to learn more: As you can see from the pictures below, this PVC is in excellent 100% original condition, and of course, works perfectly.

Our vintage synth restoration experts, KSR, have just fully serviced this D6 so it’s 100% perfect in operation, however, a museum piece it is not, although KSR have undertaken some cosmetic restoration, so it presents quite nicely to any casual inspection. There are no legs or lid, and there is a certain amount of wear and tear to this example, but it would make a great studio instrument that just needs to do the job of being an authentic D6, which is the most important thing after all.
The price is set to sell it quickly, and we are still including our full warranty post-sale (plus a new 9V battery of course). Price: £590 UKP Availability: This Clavinet D6 is now SOLD as at 1st July 2015. Click on the thumbnails for higher resolution photos of actual D6 for sale. Came into stock: 12th June 2014 Restoration Status: Restoration underway by our RL Music Service Partner – KSR (Kent Spong Restorations). ETR (estimated time from restoration): July 2014 Remarks: The CR78 has to be one of the most distinctive drum machines ever made, and has been used by used by artist such as: Brian Ferry, Gary Numan, 808 State, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, Ultravox etc. This CR78 is actually owned by Kent Spong of KSR himself, so we are helping him find a new owner for his machine.
The cosmetic condition is pristine, and although fully working, Kent has decided to overhaul the entire drum machine prior to sale. Very interestingly, there is a excellent MIDI kit available for the the CR78 from a company called CHD. The MIDI kit provides complete and individual control of all the machines instruments and operational function, as well as being able to program the unit via MIDI.
This means you can use a MIDI keyboard rather than the antiquated (and often missing) WS-1 remote box to do the programming. Kent has just fitted one of these CHD MIDI Kits for a customer of his and was extremely impressed with the functionality, and it’s really well priced! Click the link to find out more: If you wanted MIDI fitting to this CR78 then all you need do is purchase the kit and send it to us and we will fit it for £50.

Plenty has been said & written about this iconic instrument, and the recent Roland Aira TR-8 announcement seems to have generated even more interest in the vintage original.which often happens. It sounds great of course and is one of those ‘must have’ instruments if your serious about analogue.
KSR are going though the TR808 now – treating the unit to a complete overhaul to ensure another 30 years of reliable service. We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our customer Servicing Status: Full service by KSR will commence post-sale Remarks: A unique opportunity to own a very rare Polyfusion Surround-A-Sound QP-1 stand-alone effects module in great all original condition. Pink Floyd used these devices in their live set up for quadraphonic audio effect/control etc., and can also be used to control CV the same way with any modular synth. Polyfusion did build the functionality of this quad-control into their keyboard controllers but it was rare to find these stand-alone units. It’s believe that only a couple of hundred of these were ever made by Polyfusion back in the mid to late 1970s, Th unit features an ‘auto and manual’ mode.
Auto mode uses a built-on LFO to which is controlled by a Panning (forward or reverse), Speed and Depth knobs. Manual mode is activated by the joystick. We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer Came into stock: September 2013 Servicing Status: Full service by KSR will commence post-sale.
Remarks: The TR909 is simply a classic sounding analogue drum machine and used by a huge array of top artists with thousands of reviews, mp3s and videos on on-line so we’re not going to tell you anything new here. Most professional musicians we know have at least 2 or even 3 of these machines and they usually get very heavy studio and live use which is a testament to the rugged, stable and reliable design from Roland in the mid 80s. This example come from a private collection and is in excellent condition. Runs on EU 220V. As with all Brokered Sales, the synth will be fully serviced post-sale before it’s sent to its new owner. We do this to ensure that the instrument leaves us in perfect operational condition, and it is backed up by our full warranty to give the new owner complete peace of mind. Korg Mini Pops 120 It’s not often you will find this portable version of the Korg Minipops 120, and when we were offered it we just couldn’t resist. How about some old-school rhythm section for your music projects. This 1970s portable analogue drum machine is punchy and really warm sounding. Roland SDD-320 ‘Dimension-D’ We are offering a truly classic vintage effects for sale – the Dimension D A brilliant and unsurpassed real-analogue chorus outboard effects that became legendary since its arrival in 1979, and is still a ‘must have’ pro-audio effects unit. The only drawback is trying to resist the temptation to use it on everything in a mix as it works so well with vocals, acoustic and electronic instruments alike. The Dimension-D produces a chorus that is much more spatial and lacks typical pitch modulation problems. It achieves this through the use of dual sync’d delay lines that are driven by a trapezoidal LFO which is the key to avoiding warble. It has a true psychoacoustic quality that only Roland managed to capture so perfectlyover 33 years ago! The condition of this rack unit is excellent. Th SDD-320 runs on 110V voltage and works very happily on a small step-down transformer due to its tiny 8W power requirements.
We have purchased a brand new (UK spec/plug) step-down transformer – rated to 45W which is supplied free of charge with this unit. The Dimension D was very recently serviced & is sold with our full 3 month warranty Price = £695 UK Pounds Availability = This is now sold as at 25th September 2012 Click on the thumbnail for a higher resolution photo. Roland JSQ-60 – Vintage Sequencer How about this original 2000 note sequencer to partner your prized Juno 60.
The JSQ-60 will record polyphonically in real-time, including patch-change data, but you can also use the step-record and over-dubbing function. A nice addition if you want to extend the performance capability of your Juno 60 but without resorting to installing MIDI, thus keeping your collection 100% original. The condition is immaculate and is supplied with its original external UK 220V Power supply. And (attached) proprietary Roland DCB inter-connect cable. Sequential Circuits Studio 440 Sampler This great sounding instrument is considered one of the best Vintage Sequencing/Sampling Drum & Music Productions Machines ever made! It’s not something we would normally deal in but we had the opportunity to play one recently and consider it’s reputation was well founded – a really great sounding sampler. Its beautifully designed, intuitive to use and feels very much like a Sequential product in the materials and parts used.
The architecture is impressive with a clean and very punchy 12bit sampling and some clever MIDI implementation as well. These are very rare and sought after machines & we have been lucky to get hold of two of them and this is the first one ready for sale. KSR has just fully overhauled this particular example including servicing and calibrating the floppy-drive. The unit has some light wear to the panel graphics but otherwise it’s in almost new condition throughout. We have also had all 8 drum-pads replaced with brand new items from WineCountry in the USA so it’s plays perfectly. We also have a reasonably large library that will be included with this Studio 440 unit, and it’s original user manual. This example is sold with a full 3 months warranty and run on UK/EU voltage.

Roland RE201 Space Echo If your question is: What effects should I but for my vintage synth to sound ‘all vintage’ and cool? Answer – well you start with the RE201 Space Echo of course! This real analogue tape machine was produced during the 1970s and was among a few effects from that time that defined the top professional audio standard in its day, and my goodnessit sounds wonderful.
If warmth, character, sound and authenticity is important to you when using your analogue synths then you shouldn’t be using software emulations and/or modern digital outboard effects? This is a beautiful and very high quality pro-audio device – to this day we have never heard a Minimoog sound better effected (delay/echo) than through a RE201. The condition of this example we have is exemplary! It’s just been fully mechanically and electronically overhauled and is the best sounding example we have ever heardit’s perfect! This RE201 runs on 110V voltage and works very happily on a small step-down transformer due to its tiny 16W power requirements. We have purchased a brand new (UK spec/plug) step-down transformer – rated to 45W which is supplied free of charge with this unit. Supplied with original cleaning Kit.
