The modern Visio wireframes enable Visio customers to bring any project or product idea to life and thus help quickly visualize website’s or app’s functionality and content. I am sorry if this has been asked before, but where can I find the Windows XP UI shapes that I had in Visio 2007. I like the Wireframe shapes and will use them in the future, but right now my company is still developing screens that need to look at feel like XP common controls. I would like to use Visio to mockup a few ASP.NET interfaces that I can share with a client. I know I can create these using Visual Studio, but I would rather use a graphics tool if possible. I have Visio 2007 that came with MS Office and I do not have any software or database templates. Does anyone know where I can find templates/stencils/shapes I can use for this? If there are any other tools that I can use I'm open to that too. I'm leaning towards Visio because I already have it and know how to use it.

In Microsoft Visio 2007, there was a 'Software & Database' template to be able to draw ER diagrams. In Visio 2010, this template is missing.

Does anyone know if this template (and others missing) can be downloaded and installed in Visio 2010? Can you explain how this can be done? The templates might have been installed incorrectly here, which conflicts with one of the comments posted about the path of these templates. Notice two 'Office14' folders: C: Program Files (x86) Microsoft Office Office14 Office14 Visio Content 1033 I was able to get some of the templates to show up (File New) by doing the following:.

Advanced. File Locations (button at very bottom). then specify the path above for the “Templates” field. You may have to restart Visio. This however does NOT allow access to DBMODLU.VST (Database Modeling template), probably because the DBMODLU.VSS file is missing. I've also tried moving the C: Program Files (x86) Microsoft Office Office14 Office14 Visio Content folder into C: Program Files (x86) Microsoft Office Office14, but that did not do anything, even after a Windows restart.
